The FortiGate 900G is an upper mid-range next-generation firewall for the point where the campus backbone and the data centre edge meet the internet. The G series runs security functions on FortiASIC processors rather than in software, so throughput does not collapse when encrypted traffic inspection is switched on.
SD-WAN, ZTNA and segmentation are part of FortiOS and need no separate licence. Because the same operating system runs across the family, policy and reporting stay in one place.
